POULET DE BRESSE GALOUISE DAY OLD CHICKS - HATCHING NOW
Recognised as ‘the best quality table bird in the world’, Poulet de Bresse are a highly sought after dual-purpose French breed, reared up for the table from 4 months old and with the hens laying around 250 eggs per year.
A nice natured bird, Le Bresse are particularly striking with their slate blue legs and are ideal for anyone wanting to produce their own meat and eggs, or simply as an addition to any laying flock.
Day old chicks - £10 each or 6 for £50
All chicks are sold as unsexed, although I am always happy to take back any unwanted males if you do not wish to keep them and are unable to rehome them.
Hatching eggs also available = £3 each collected or 1st Class post (+£5.95 for 6 eggs or + £6.95 for 12 eggs).
Eggs from each breeding pen are incubated weekly at home to ensure high fertility. If they do not have a fertility rate of 90% or more, I will not offer them for sale.
The postal system can be detrimental to eggs and their viability, but sellers can minimise this risk with careful packaging. For this reason I will not post out eggs in poly boxes alone, as these do not protect the eggs or air sacs from impact damage during transit. To give your eggs the very best chance of arriving safely, eggs are individually wrapped, boxed, carefully padded in bubble wrap and placed in an additional box for posting.
