This one is the T5 derivative, which I’d argue, is better looking than the T5.1 that followed (has the more original looking, large VW badge on its nose). 2009 model with the 2.5TDI, 130bhp 5 cylinder VAG shared engine (has that lovely 5 cylinder rumble on tick-over), 6 speed manual gearbox with the addition of Cruise Control (there aren’t loads around with this). The bus has a genuine and documented 70,000 miles with Full Service History (last had a full service in March 23’). These 2.5ltr units are chain driven, so there are no worries about requiring a cambelt change and it pulls very nicely in all gears. The van is complimented by a virtually brand new set of 20” black Sportline style alloy wheels that again, really set off the look of the van. We have opted to retain the buses standard suspension set up as we’ve owned vans previously that have been lowered and the truth is, they just don’t ride as well (with the family and kit on board)
Ours has factory fitted; Power Assisted Steering, Electric windows, Electric heated and folding door mirrors and an RDS CD/Radio head unit. The stereo has a four (front and rear) speaker system, which is complimented by a Parrot hands free car kit (also plays your phones media through the stereo).
A professional camper conversion was completed in October 20’ by VW Interiors. It is presented in a light colour combination.
Our van has a removable swan neck tow bar and (for the right price), will also come with its own Erde 142 camping trailer, some camping bits and crucially, a virtually brand new Outdoor Revolution Cayman Cona blow up drive-away awning (along with internal luxury carpet)
