Advert Description

Emap Internet Magazine Bundle. 87 Issues From 1994 To 2004.Very Good Condition.

These eighty-seven specialist magazines would provide the basis for a comprehensive study of the early history of the internet during its formative initial ten year period, and are therefore highly collectable given the extensive archive of material they contain.

The soft covered magazines being offered for sale here as one lot cover almost anything internet-related, as long as there is a consumer or small business slant.

Some magazines include free unused CD’s, which are still attached.

Positioned as “the practical guide to what's on and where to go”, Internet Magazine published a list of all the world's publicly available World Wide Web websites, 55 in the first issue of the magazine – as well as content available through FTP and Gopher protocols.

Internet Magazine was launched in October 1994 by the UK publishing house Emap and was issued monthly until its last issue, number 119, in July 2004.

The English language editions included in this lot range from the second issue in November 1994 to issue 117 in May 2004.

Gradually the dot-com-boom helped boost the magazine's popularity and by the late 1990s its pages had quadrupled from 52 to more than 200.

These magazines have been stored on a shelf away from sunlight in a clean, dry environment so are in very good, lightly used, condition for their age.

These items have no loose or missing pages, nor do they have any marks or staining or tears or handwritten notes on them. Their coloured illustrations, photographs and text remain bright and crisp.

Please refer to the photographs provided to make your own assessment regarding their condition.

This is a private sale from a pet, smoke and Covid free home.

Buyer to collect, and pay cash on collection please. Regret no returns accepted. Thank you.
