I have a small number of registered / pedigree Dwarf Dairy Goats for sale this year as I am sadly overstocked.
Dwarf dairies are similar in size to the pygmy but a finer type ( like a nigerian dwarf). They have a high butterfat content ideal for cheese and their small size makes them ideal for a smallholder. They are hardy, require very little supplementary feed and have an excellent resistance to worms. For more details on the breed visit the website of the British Dwarf Dairy Goat Society.
I have two adult females with this years kids at foot - one wether ( castrated male) and one female. I also have an unrelated billy who is a lovely little gentleman who can go with them for a complete starter herd ( with the wether for company if housed separately.
All my goats are CAE tested negative.
They are hardy and can live out but will require a shelter and a CPH number. They are excellent hedge trimmers and scrub clearers and provide company for equines. I will split into smaller groups if required.
