Super cool 10 year old 14.1 Irish Cob.
Banjo is the most fun super cob I’ve ever met! He’s done it all!! Showjumping, xc, dressage, low level eventing and hunting!!
He’s very well established proving to be brave and bold both sj and xc and has been schooled beautifully with 3 fantastic paces.
He never says no to a fence and takes the rider into them with confidence.
Has been very well loved by a 14 year old girl who has sadly outgrown him. Together they have been members of PC and represented the club at area eventing and showjumping competitions at 80cm. They have had regular lessons aswell as travelling to clinics jumping around 110cm.
He has been to stay away camps and shows is never stressy in a new environment. Loads himself onto the box or trailer!
He is good with the farrier, dentist, to clip and to catch. He is up to date with teeth, farrier, worming and vaccinations.
He can be slightly cold backed when coming back into work if he’s had a week or two off. This just takes 5 minutes of lunging and then can buck mainly with excitement before settling into work. Once he is past this he’s putty in your hands!! He needs someone who will ignore him while he has his moments and then ride him forward.
He gets excited on the xc field and can throw a buck too He only does it when having a group xc lesson and he has to stand around waiting for his turn. This is the only time he does it but he needs a rider who will not be phased and will send him forward if doing xc group sessions. However, if doing xc alone/in pairs and there is no problem at all.
Banjo was a hunting pony with his previous adult owner and excelled.
He’s looking for a forever home with someone that doesn’t mind his odd quirks and just wants to have fun!! loads of pictures and videos available.
