These lovely vintage armchairs date to the mid-1960’s when Greaves and Thomas were one of the best UK makers of upholstered contemporary furniture. This simple design features a beautiful sculptural arm which still looks fresh and modern today.
Beautifully polished rosewood frames - in a low slung style & with padded fabric covered arms. With the original checked fabric which is in amazing condition considering their age! But if you wanted to give them a new lease of life with some fresh upholstery they would be an ideal project!
Greaves & Thomas was a London based company with a history dating back to the early 1900's. In the early years the company specialised in lounge furniture and upholstery. By the mid 20th century the company was producing a range of high end contemporary furniture - including sideboards, armchairs and even bedroom mirrors.
