Preview of the first image of SCALE MODEL BUS: MANCHESTER CORPORATION 1930s LEYLAND TD1.

Advert Description

This old lady is a 1:76 scale model of a Manchester Corporation Leyland TD1 which was delivered in the early 1930s and served the people of the city well, having given faithful service throughout the second world war and the rough and tumble of cobbled roads and streets, only to be withdrawn from service in 1945 when the city sought to update its fleet of vehicles.

Fleet No 237, shown here, is in perfect condition and its attention to detail even includes the cranking handle to start it on typical Manchester mornings before it ventured out into a landscape that had often been changed by overnight enemy bombing.

The background building is a prop for illustrative purposes.

It comes brown boxed and RECEIPTED postage is just £3.49
