Advert Description

This labeled violin dates from the 1960 and was made in Hungary by a small family company in Szegedi. The company finished making instruments in 2003. These are quite rare and the quality is certainly recognisable in manufacturing and sound quality.

This is a hand made quality Instrument and has a two piece Maple back and a two piece Spruce table.

The original violin varnish is in excellent quality and it has received a light cosmetic clean yet maintained its natural patina and years of being well played showing age related wear and loving use.

This Violin typically will suit a decerning player who will appreciate a quality instrument and maybe has previously played a 1/2 size violin or, a young person beginner. 3/4 Violins are often bought by experienced adults with a shorter reach too!

It is in an excellent condition and has been fully inspected ready for immediate use. No splits, cracks, loose joints. The sound post is correctly set and firm. The bridge is fitted correctly and set in position too. The base bar is also firm and sound. The pegs are well fitted and holds tuning pitch well. The peg box has been lightly reamered and the pegs have received a coating of peg grease to aid smooth tuning. While I am not a fan of fine tuners these are not fitted but should the buyer request their fitting then I will fit in order to further assist the player to tune to pitch easily Quality steel strings are fitted but to enhance the performance of the violin further then Tonica or Dominant strings will certainly get the best out of this instrument.

THESE POINT ARE VITAL IN BUYING A USED VIOLIN.
