Genuine good looking mare, beautiful markings and body type.
Missy is a 6 year old cob cross mare, 13.3hh Owned for just under 3 years from unbroken to ridden away. She is definitely a character with a heart of gold but she is not for a novice.
She is good to hack both solo and in company, pretty much bombproof with vehicles etc, just not a fan of rubbish. Will walk or gallop in open spaces and pulls up whenever asked.
She loves her jumping, and has jumped up to 85 with me but has incredible scope to go higher. She is snaffle mouthed, rarely refuses unless she’s unsure but a confident rider will help this. XC she is still fairly green but willing to try new things and could definitely go far in this discipline too.
Her schooling is her only downside, she is very well behaved but requires a soft handed rider who is patient. She objects to going in an outline, happy to discuss further but is improving day by day. Her brain needs to be occupied so a varied schedule would be beneficial. She is a lovely pony, has had beginners sit on her, ridden bareback, in a headcollar, genuine pony who will try her best for you.
She has exceptional talent for jumping and would suit a showjumping home.
She’s been to a few local shows, hires and has behaved impeccably,she’s more of a get on and go than stand around waiting.
She is currently turned out in a herd of mares, Comes to call. She’s good to load, clip, farrier, bath, etc but needs sedation for dentist.
She will go far with a patient and confident rider, but she is not a child’s pony. Sad sale through no fault of her own, jockey has moved on to new interests.Will only be sold to a competent rider who will use her to her full potential. I would like to keep in contact with her new owners.
Will come with some of her wardrobe including saddle.
