I purchased this beautiful piano in 1988. It’s been very well looked after and regularly tuned. I’ve had no issues with the piano since purchased new which is a testament to Yamaha. The piano has been played on average less than 50 minutes per day, so it’s a true gem! The hammers, strings, bushings, key tapes,
pin block, soundboard etc are all in excellent condition, (more pictures available on request). The tone is definitely superior to many newer models as well as equivalent Yamaha reconditioned U1 pianos at the same age.
Yamaha's U series have long been considered one of the finest upright piano series on the market, with a combination of meticulous craftsmanship and premium quality components. This particular piano has a tremendously balanced tone and would be ideal for an advanced player looking for a piano of the finest quality, or a beginning student looking to invest in a piano that will carry them through to Grade 8 and beyond.
