1987 ford xr2 based quantum kit car
- built from a mk2 xr2 with the same engine, interior and running gear, this was done in 2000 as I have all the receipts from quantum for the invoice of £6495 for the personal spec that the owner chose, electric windows, seat fabric etc,
- engine looks very clean and the whole car looks like it hasn't done many miles in anger, this is because it was rebuilt in 2018 - 2020 and has had a new mohair hood, recon gearbox, engine out and cleaned and painted, new ancillaries, service, cambelt and water pump, refitted with new clutch and the recon gearbox, new suspension parts and brakes, wiring done where needed,
- has been garaged or undercover with each owner
- previous keeper used to take it to shows and it comes with black and silver number plates and seat covers, display descriptions etc.
- body is very tidy as it is a gel coat and not perfect but clean and polishes up well,
- roof is as new condition and open and closes well
- interior is in great condition and has been recovered professionally when built up, the rear seat is a half squab and has been well done
- the bonnet is a clam shell opening front
- the boot is quite a good size for a kit car
- I bought it over a year ago and it was mot'd just before I had it, It has covered very few miles so should be fine for a new one
- the wheels are RS wheels and appear as new as do the tyres
all in all a great car that can be taken to shows or improved on but doesn't need major work or money spent on it,
