SCALE MODEL BUS: 1980s GM BUSES METROBUS

Manchester based GM Buses purchased a number of Metrobus vehicles with MCW bodies in the 1980s with front destination apertures in the style of the erstwhile Manchester Corporation.

The same thing is on the internet for £30 but this particular 1:76mm scale model, in perfect condition, has just a slightly mis-shapen delicately affixed nearside mirror and is available at just £17.

It is on Route 59 from Manchester to Shaw via Oldham and has an advert for Logan Air on one side and one on the other for the now defunct Andy’s Records shop in Oldham’s Spindles Shopping Centre: itself being a mecca for music fans at the time.
