Genuine honest and open advert
After little girl outgrew Wendy we naively
thought this little Section A mare could become a field ornament BUT that’s not what she wants! Wendy loves and I really do mean loves to work! On the ground she is brilliant and will happily let you stretch her legs, pick her feet and plait her mane etc. Brilliant for the dentist, farrier (unshod) and loading- trailer or box.Teeth and vaccinations up to date. Green passport. Never sick or sorry happy living in or out with mares or geldings. If you want a cuddly pony who wants to be snuggled and fussed it’s not her! We tried to calm her hormones with Improvac from the vet but it had no effect and despite lots of tears we have had to face facts that selling her is what’s best for her. She thrives on solid regular work. Riding once a week isn’t enough for her so consequently she is now back in regular work and is so happy! Believe me when I say she is bright, this pony would pass her 11+, If the rider is nervous she will take the mickey usually seen in the form of a bunny hop or a buck, if you do fall she won’t run off she will just drop her neck as if to say ‘Hey you ok down there!?’ Wendy is extremely responsive to your voice but can be very strong especially when excited by seeing jumps! This should tell you that this little lady is not for a nervous rider!
X Country, jumping, and pony games I think is where she excels. Jumping 1m isn’t a problem for her and I’m sure she could do more, she will literally give you her everything. We have won many a rosette and trophy and attended PC rallies and games. Wendy is great to hack and is used to heavy traffic (proper farm country round here!) mostly we take her hacking on her own and I walk at the side.
Ppl think she is sweet and will make a great lead rein or first ridden- that she just is not!
