Niall is a 14.1hh and approx 12 years old Welsh pony. He is kept on a small friendly livery yard, with a sand school, hacking, and other people to ride out with.
Looking for a kind, quiet rider to loan him 3-4 days per week. Niall loves being groomed, hacking out, groundwork, and schooling. He is not currently jumping due to previous treatment.
He has a lovely nature & massive character; he loves people and attention. He enjoys hacking out with others or alone, he is very safe and generally not fazed by much although can sometimes tense up and get a little strong if he is fresh.
Niall is a little green for his age in the school. He schools nicely in walk and trot including basic lateral movements, we are still working on canter as he lacks some balance. He is always improving, and with a little work he will do a sweet dressage test, loaner would be expected to continue schooling lessons with our yard owner.
Ni is a lovely boy who wants to please and learns quickly. He is never nasty however he can be unsure about life & sensitive to the leg aid so not suitable for a novice / nervous rider. Not suitable for someone coming out of a riding school. No under 16s please. It is important that his loaner is willing to continue working on relaxation and calmness.
Monthly contribution required towards his finances & all general stable jobs on loaner’s days.
Plenty of videos & photos available on request. Niall is a much-loved part of the family and only up for loan as I am away at university, so a loan contract will be put in place & good communication required. My mum is always on hand for advice & would be around for the trial period.
