Due to a yard move and my current loaner unfortunately not having transport, I am looking for a reliable and experienced adult (no under 18s) part loaner 2 days a week for my beautiful 15.2hh friesian x mare.
Freya is well schooled and happily hacks out in company and on her own. Not phased by traffic in the slightest (but may have a little spook at a suspect looking flower in a hedge) Safe and well behaved in open fields. Can get a little bit more on her toes at times in winter, but doesn't bronc, rear or anything too silly. She can sometimes get a little strong if she's feeling that way out.
Although the majority of the time she is very well behaved, on the occasions she is in a bit of a spooky or strong mood, she responds better to a rider who is confident, firm, calm and unphased so for that reason she's not really suitable for a novice.
Freya is well mannered on the ground provided you are confident and firm. She is too intelligent for her own good and if she thinks you're not up to the job she'll soon take the mick! She is not marish at all and will stand for hours to be groomed and pampered.
Looking for somebody who preferably just wants to predominantly hack. The yard we are on has 5 miles of beautiful, scenic off road hacking tracks on site. Some basic flat schooling is fine if you have an understanding of how to school correctly, not just doing zoomies round the school, as I've put a lot of work into her schooling!
Would be happy for you to have lessons with my instructor.
A small amount of jumping could be discussed, but if you're looking to seriously progress with jumping then she would not be suitable.
Unfortunately I cannot offer the opportunity to compete her.
Week days are preferred but some weekend days could be arranged depending on availability.
We are based on a small, friendly yard near Cottingham/Little Weighton with 5 miles of beautiful off road hacking and the use of two schools.
