- Frankie has 3 well balanced paces, He's a lovely, sweet natured chap. Will pop round a course of jumps, believed to have hunted, doesn't get strong or silly, always level headed and wanting to please. Would make a good all rounder or equally happy to just hack.
- Good in traffic, cyclists, motorbikes, pigs, dogs, etc. had a car alarm go off next to him and didn't bat an eye lid!
- Loads and travels well.
- Good to clip, groom, bath, farrier (currently shod infront).
- Will live in or out. (Very respectful of electric fencing).
- Can turnout alone or with others (will live in a mixed herd).
- Hacking; will go on his own,
in front, middle or behind. Happy to wait whilst others go off. Great in open spaces and safe to ride on the roads.
- Open to vetting. (Passed a five stage vetting in August.)
- Up to date with Farrier, Dentist, Chiropractor, Saddler.
- Comes with fitted Kent & Masters saddle.
-Frankie's only downside is he can sometimes be fidgety once you're mounted (Stands still to get on) if asked to stand once you're in the saddle does get increasingly more anxious and can rear. He has had full recent vet check, back x-rayed, scoped for ulcers, course of pain meds and all came back clear. This is not a pain response and if you just walk on straight away he gives no issues. Will stand out hacking in traffic etc. can get off/on out hacking. We've come to conclude it's likely past trauma. Other than this Frankie is a calm, confident horse out hacking and on the yard in general. (Complete opposite of what you'd expect from a horse that can rear).
