This all-original Cort 34" scale active bass was
owned by famous music producer and bass player Phil Spalding and used in his studio.
NB Cort manufacture musical instruments for many other top brands
e.g Fender, PRS, Schecter, Ibanez, G&L & Musicman.
This instrument has been professionally setup, mantained and looked after and is in excellent condition (with just a few small minor marks).
The action, rosewood fretboard and all 22 frets are in great condition, the neck is fast and easy to play, the active EQ output is powerful & flexible and the open tuners are as new.
NB Some of the above pictures show the bass with scratchplate removed (as Phil preferred it) but the original, white scratchplate together with the original screws have been refitted.
The two pickups (Alnico jazz and MBA4 humbucker) together with the advanced electronics (push/pull active/passive vol, blend & 2-band active 9V EQ) deliver an awesome sound with maximum flexibility for all genres: rock, soul, reggae, pop, funk, blues, metal etc
Could probably use a new set of strings, and a bit of a cleanup etc otherwise it's ready to rock on.
This instrument comes complete with a strong gig bag
