After spending weeks and looking at Vango tents I ended buying this awesome tent for me and my family. Vango have now changed the name to
Icarus 500. I bought the tent along with the dedicated awning to go with it and also the foot prints to go with both the tent and the awning. The footprint I bought for the awning is for the Vango Woburn/ Calder 500 as my supplier told me that Vango dont make a dedicated footprint for the awning but this footprint would fit it well. I also bought the vango universal carpet (230x210cm) to go in the tent porch area and a vango universal carpet (360x260cm) to fit in the awning area. Vango dont make a dedicated carpet for the awning but this size carpet was recommended by my tent supplier as it would fit generously. My whole Vango set up was purchased brand new by myself but sadly was never ever used as my Mother fell Ill which affected our planned family trip to Scotland and sadly we never got round to making our trip. When I purchased my tent I was advised by my supplier to erect it before we used it. It would have been to large for my back garden so we went to our local country park (Croxteth Country Park in Liverpool) and erected it there. We had some strange looks and comments by visitors to the park as you would expect, Haha!!! In view that we were going away soon I'm glad we did erect it before our planned visit as we would not have had a clue where to start if we were running late on our planned trip. Sadly as mentioned our trip never came off. Vango says it takes 12 minutes to erect but in reality it took me and my wife 1 hour. I guess with experience this could be achievable, so if you do buy this tent I would recommend that you erect the tent as we did before you use it. This tent is a bargain if you are looking for a new and unused tent with all the new comforts like the awning and carpets. Please trust me when I say that everything I'm selling is brand new and never ever been used or slept in.
