Advert Description

Please feel free to make an offer.

An Original Early Vintage Apple Pickers Basket.

Quite unusual & made from plywood & canvas. I believe it could be anything from 1920's to the 1950's.

In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. There's at least a couple of places where the plywoods split with age & use. There's also places where the canvas has worn through into a hole.
However, it's still fit for purpose & functional for use or for display. Despite it's tatty appearance, it's still a very unusual item.

Still a very useful & functional tool. Also looks good hung on the potting shed or kitchen wall when not on use.

There's a strap for over your head & you place the Apples or in fact any fruit you're collecting into the plywood/ canvas bucket. Once you have enough, just lift the leather clasp & a canvas shoot will drop, which allows the fruit to safely & slowly fall into a bucket or wherever you want them.

Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.

Can post at extra cost. Postage includes being signed for.
