Next to the tried and proven column layout of the loudspeakers, the low depth of the column cabinets is a crucial design factor.
Elaborately engineered
The centre column speaker is designed as an elaborate 2.5-way system. Of the four mid-range drivers, the two bottom ones have a lower treble cut-off frequency than the upper two, which reach all the way up to the dome tweeter’s cut-off point.
Fully-fleged hi-fi
This has several advantages: less frequency drop-outs thanks to the elimination of clashing frequency delays between the cabinet and the listener; high load capacity; and a linear frequency range right down to 100 Hz.
Punchy subwoofer
The visual profile of the centre and column speakers is also reflected by the matching Columa subwoofer.
