Rose only trained for a short period but never raced due to her lack of speed and was not ridden again until shortly before we bought her in November 2023 from a trainer who had restarted her to sell.
I bought Rose for my daughter to use for horseball but between the weather and pressures of A-levels she was only ridden and long reined a few times then my daughter decided she did not have time for a horse. Rose is a lovely friendly horse that has been well-behaved and polite being kept on individual turnout, she is well-behaved in the stable even when other horses are turned out. I wish I could keep her, but I am not capable of restarting and riding a young TB and do not have the time to give her the attention she needs and wants without my daughter to help. The few times she was ridden she was good with traffic and generally took the lead with the odd baby moment of napping. I will not sell her to any novices or nervous riders because is a very green TB that has not been ridden for some time now. With the right education I am sure she would do well in many spheres and become someone’s best friend. She deserves a good home where she can be loved and cared for.
Since being with us Rose has had flu and tetanus vaccinations started, been seen regularly by the farrier (she is currently unshod), had her teeth done, and been regularly wormed. She has been nothing but polite to handle by all professionals. She loaded and travelled well when I bought her, she hasn’t travelled with us since.
She is to be sold from the field as I have no saddle that fits her, no facilities, and no rider.
She is priced at significantly less than I paid for her.
