A Oriental Architectural Antique Lion, Tiger, Leopard or Panthers
Head Door knocker.
It could be anything from the 1920's Art Deco period onwards. But please do your own research.
In expected used condition for a item of this age & nature. It is brass, but I've left it in its "as found" Shabby Chic distressed condition, with paint wear showing hints of the brass underneath, then the new purchaser can leave it as it is, polished the exposed brass or strip it right back to the brass & totally polish it up. If it was me I'd just polish the exposed parts.
The rear thread bars might need a little work or tapping a new thread, as they're caked up with old paint & there's only one nut present.
He's a nice size & weight if you use my hand to give you a rough idea of size.
