Sad LWVTB of my 13hh just turned 6yo Cob, Scooby.
Please read full ad as a special home is required.
Scooby is as wide as he is tall. He has a great sturdy build with masses of hair and bone.
He is good to groom, wash, pick feet, rug, tie, clip, spray etc.
Good for farrier. Has loaded a few times in the past.
Happy to be first out or last in.
Loves other horses and ponies, really enjoys a groom with any age/type of horse yet stays independent.
Good to catch and will come to call if hungry. Happy to go on walks off the yard on his own. Have walked a over motorway bridge with him he's great. He has lunged a few times walk/trot.
He has wore all tack and been sat on twice but otherwise a complete blank canvas.
Very loving boy and really enjoys a scratch.
Scooby requires trust and a bond to see the best in him.
He can be reactive to new people. He seems fine when people are very confident but doesn't like anyone touching him who is nervous or uncertain. He can nip/threaten to kick. This is different in a field setting as he is often first over to greet people when they are poo picking.
He does not like kids.
He also requires groundwork as can be strong and pushy and can nip/kick when asked to move over etc.
I would like to iterate that these issues are not Scoobys fault and are because he has been raised by a complete novice. He is not bad by nature.
I am only selling Scooby as I have a complete lack of experience and confidence to help him with this issues. I feel that in the right hands he could reach his potential and be an absolutely wonderful pony for someone. I've had him since 5 months old so he's had a very easy life so far.
