I'm putting the feelers out for a share / part loan within a 20 minute drive of Huntingdon. Not in a rush, happy to wait for the right match to come along as I would like a longer term arrangement.
I'm a sensible, resposible female, mid 30's, 5ft 5ins, 13.5 stone. I've ridden for many years but always low level stuff, riding schools, friends horses etc. I'm not looking to compete and would consider myself a competant, confident novice. I have shared/part loaned twice previously; a very forward 17.3 Irish Sports Horse who needed bringing back into work and a semi-retired school horse who needed ticking over. I'm confident in walk, trot and canter and I'm learning to jump. More than happy to do any and all yard jobs and to agree a financial contribution.
Ideally I'm looking for a set 2/3 days a week to include a weekend day. I work from home 3 days a week, so can be fairly flexible.
I'm looking for a happy hacker type horse, 15.2+, that doesn't mind a bit of schooling too. Gelding preferred but a non-mare-ish mare would be great too. Something sane and sensible, don't mind a bit of a buck or napping. Happy to discuss quirks as long as nothing dangerous or nasty. I would love to find a horse that I can build a bond with, pamper and enjoy spending time with on the ground as much as when riding. Happy for a more woah-than-go type as well as more forward going. If there are people to hack with, that would be a welcome bonus, but not essential.
