WWI Flying Corps Night Vision Goggles

I believe these are Very Scarce WWI Royal Flying Corps Night Vision Goggles, which would have likely of been a civilian / private purchase, as the RAF hadn't yet been formed, but please do your own research.

In expected used condition for a item of this age & nature. They are made of leather with fur around the edges to seal them. I originally thought they had flaps as air vents, however, one is stitched down & one isn't. There's minor surface rust on the metal that surrounds the green glass lenses. Amazingly the elastic's still stretchy & the leather's still fairly supple.

It would make a fabulous addition to an Aviation, RAF or Military collection.
