Cassius is a stunning young alpaca with lovely conformation and awesome genetics and a great pedigree with 2 outstanding grey show winning parents. His sire is the well-known multi Champion EP Cambridge Gunsmith and dam Houghton. He is BAS registered and we had high hopes for using him on our females
We have tried him on the females a few times without success and the females he has covered haven’t become pregnant. We haven’t had him fertility tested but aren’t selling him as a fertile male. He has been a companion to one of our herd sires since being a youngster. Although he is a lovely looking male, I have decided to let him go to pastures new where he can be more appreciated and given individual attention.
In the past, visitors to the farm have comment on how stunning he looks. He would make a great addition to any herd as a companion male and field ornament. He is OK to handle for husbandry tasks and is fully vaccinated.
He will have BAS paperwork but I will downgrade him to a listed nonbreeding male. He could be sold with one of our intact males as a companion.
