Heartbreakingly putting feelers out for Albert, 15.1hh 14yrs old gelding, Irish Cross.
Owned for 6 years, this boy is golden, enjoys and passionate to learn in the arena. As well as hacking alone and in company, first middle or last, not phased by traffic, will go for miles, and he loves it.
We are close to two heavy traffic main roads, Onto open moorland, into woods, open fields, rivers, streams, my dog running next to us, ride & lead, livestock & wild deer.
He doesn’t get silly in open spaces, most of the time I’m buckle end. Voice / nudge through the gears as you please. Likewise, he is not a kick along, he’s fun & easy to ride whilst you have breaks. Snaffle mouthed, no gizmos or gadgets, never bucked, bolted or reared!
One of Alberts favourite things is water. But be prepared to get soggy as he splashes in it like a big kid. Such a kind, fun loving personality.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I’ve trained him to the bow & axe throwing, should a new sport take your fancy.
Not many horses can tolerate that!
Upto date with vaccs, worming. Currently fully shod but can be barefoot work load depending. Great handling manners & for the farrier / vet etc.
Devastatingly, he deserves more, it’s so unfair on him as he loves the attention and being ridden. So putting it out if his new home finds him.
What I’m ideally looking for - An adult who is wanting a new buddy to enjoy adventures with. No children / teens & no novices. He would also be ace at adult camps, riding clubs should you wish, long distance riding, loads up and off you go.
