Advert Description
This must be the earliest Millward fishing rod ever.
From the look of it, it must be late Victorian or Edwardian. Solid wood (not bamboo) - species unknown.
8 feet long and In solid and straight condition, brass ferrules are good; the only damage is the top Agate ring is missing, the whipping is fine although the varnish is crinkly due to its age.
It comes with what I assume is its original wooden brass bound reel. Should be left in this unrestored condition and would make a fine decoration in any club room or home. Or if you wish, load up the reel with silk line and try for some vintage fishing experiences.
