A nice Original Arts & Crafts Repousse hand beaten Brass Tray.
The brass desk tray has a lovely slightly symmetrical repoussé pattern worked into the base of the tray. The pattern's a little primitive of inter locking Arts & Crafts Movement style work & is raised from hand beaten craft metalwork to the rear. The background is indented, stippling to further showcase the pattern.
It's had a couple of historical copper brackets soldered to the rear, so it can be hung. It looks fabulous wall hung.
In expected used condition for an item of this nature. It would benefit from a better clean / polish, as I've just quickly given the front a quick 2 minute polish.
It's approx just under 14 1/2" by just under 9 3/4".
