Looking for her new home due to not fitting into the herd well. Up to date with worming, teeth done with vets 6 months ago, feet done every 6 weeks, shod on front. Previously raced and was used as a broodmare for a while, has just been a happy hacker with myself.
Good points -
•Lovely to ride, isn't spooky, hacks out alone or in company. Not phased by the heaviest of traffic. Ridden in a snaffle or bitless.
•Enjoys a fuss, stands to be groomed, comes when called and is easy to catch, good around dogs and for the farrier ect.
•Easy to keep for a thoroughbred, lives out all year round with appropriate rugging, hay and a handful of mix.
Bad points -
•Does push the other horses off their food if she gets the opportunity, they are all 10+ years older than her, she was fine with the younger horses before they moved on so expect she will be fine with other horses or would be happy in individual turnout as is content out on her own as long as she can see others.
•Not the easiest to load, can take a while, once on travels perfectly. I'm sure this would improve with practice but don't have a box to do this with.
•Needs a confident rider as can push her luck if not in regular work, currently ridden anywhere between one to four times a fortnight and isn't an issue but can be nappy leaving the yard first few times ridden after a few months off, nothing dangerous just tries to head back.
Unfortunately there is no arena on the yard but happy for her to be taken out to try. Can come with rugs and tack. Open to offers for a good home!
