Well we all buy things that we think are going to return us to our youth and then hardly use
Here is my example
If you are looking at this then you'll know how good/expensive the Whyte E-5 was back in the day
Although this is quite an old MTB don't let that fool you into thinking it can't hold its own with modern stuff
You can buy a new MTB for £400 but it will not be particularly well designed or have decent parts on it
This has been used so little, the parts are mostly original

When I acquired the bike I replaced all the pivot bearings and rebuilt the brakes, Fox shock with genuine parts - it didn't need it, I just like to fiddle
I personally think all the 11 and 12 speed stuff is quite fragile and wears out far quicker
I only cycle to work now and managed to snap an 11speed chain 5months ago
I'm 55yrs , back in the day 30yrs ago we never snapped chains or had to replace drive chains very often, even when riding fixed wheel
Had some spare new tyres so put them on
To the scammers - please don't bother messaging with offers of couriers etc
