Volkswagen Westfalia Continental 1973 RHD 1600cc. I have owned this campervan for 14 years and it was fully restored 12 years ago and since those times it’s basically been garaged and not parked outside.
It’s a Westfalia Continental RHD from new and 13 years ago the camper was fully restored (see pictures) including the conversion. The new conversion was based on the original layout and done by Wellhouse and it was done with some special hi gloss boards from Italian which 13 years ago was £300 a sheet. The conversion also has a modern compressor fridge, Webasto 2kw blown air heating, modern electrics, lithium battery, solar panel.
The interior was retrimmed in red and off-white leather including the roof, and the Stereo is a Blaupunkt DAB retro looking unit. The engine was rebuilt around 7 years ago and drive spot on.
Its T&T exempt but when sold it will include a MOT, 4 x new tyres as the ones on are getting a bit old, full service. I have had it looked after by a local VW air-cooled expert in Barnsley.
Its quite a unique campervan as it retains all its original looks but been restored and with modern features. Reason for sale I am just not using it and I have a few classic cars and I am buying and E-Type Jag and need the garage space.
