Following the retirement of my lovely mare I’m tentatively looking for a new horse to join my family.
Due to vet bills and the cost of retirement livery for not one but two of my current horses, I’m ideally looking for a loan with view to buy or a full loan to move yards - The horse would be kept at a lovely DIY stables in Essex which offers Summer grass turnout as well as sand paddocks for daily Winter turnout set in a very idyllic location. This horse would want for nothing and would be loved as one of my own.
Criteria:
•15.1HH+
•Must be chunky as would be carrying around 16-20% of its bodyweight depending on the horse; Ideally a full Cob but would consider Cob x ID or similar (**I am dieting but these things take time - The welfare of the horse is always my priority and so I will not be riding a horse that is too small to take my weight comfortably**)
•Preferably 6-11 years old
•Mare or Gelding
•Must be able to hack alone or in company and be good with crossing roads
I do not need a grand prix worthy horse, I am just looking for something safe, sound and reliable to do some schooling, hacking, fun rides and unaffiliated dressage with - I don’t mind green as long as sensible. Unfortunately my mare and I never got to have the fun I had planned since her health issues came out of the woodwork very soon into owning her and due to her being unwell (unbeknownst at the time) she did knock my confidence, I would like to rebuild this and build a new partnership.
