Advert Description
We have owned this 120 year old machine for nearly 40 years having fallen in love with it back in the 1980's. It hasn't been used a lot, but it has repaired denim and other thick materials as well as making a tarpaulin, along with more normal sewing projects, showing how strong and sturdy these old machines are. It is still in good working order and is beautiful to the eye, the only blemish being staining to the original coffin case (see pictures) It was made in Scotland in the last half of 1904 and is unusual because it is HAND CRANKED & TREADLE DRIVEN having a slot for the treadle belt in the base. These machines appear to be marketed anywhere between £60 and £400.
