Although Bourbon items of jewellery do not have a high value as far as the materials are concerned, they feature some very fine craftsmanship. In general, the gold content is never very high, but it is not always easy to define the fineness of items of jewellery from the Bourbon period, as each goldsmith had his own personal 'recipe' for the gold. Nevertheless, these are very rare and highly precious items of jewellery which can be worn with pride.

Since the gems are set, their exact carat weight cannot be accurately measured; the item of jewellery is presented in its total value of refinement and preciousness.
