The Ferrari 400 Pininfarina belonged to the Series II of Ferrari's 'flagship' that offered the highest level of refinement, exclusivity and performance.
Built to be the ultimate convertible, the car was custom ordered with unique bodies made for auto shows or Ferrari's top customers.
Ferrari built the Superamerica models in the 1950s on special order for the most fortunate owners.
These luxurious Grand Tourers were dressed by Pinin Farina and were powered by the long block V12 engine designed by Aurelio Lampredi.
The last Lampredi-engined 400 SuperAmerica was completed in November 1959.
