Relic of St. Elisabeth of Hungary. Princess wife of Ludovico IV, widowed, she entered the Franciscan third order dedicating herself to works of charity. She was proclaimed a saint by Pope Gregory IX in 1235. She was the protector of the Teutonic order. Today she is the patroness of nurses and bakers as well as charitable societies. The handwriting icon portrays her with an apron inside which there are roses, referring to an episode in which she was going to bring bread to the poor; her husband saw her and asked her what she had in her apron; Elisabetta opened the butts and magnificent fresh roses came out instead of loaves. From here she became the master of bakers and nurses and of many religious communities who take care of the sick in hospitals. The relic closed in a Metallic case is equipped with a sealing wax seal 67503485
