Two books bound in a substantial volume printed in Aldo Manuzio's typography in Venice and containing the commentary by Paolo Manuzio.
Aldo was the first to adopt a typographical brand represented by the Anchor and the Dolphin. In addition to the format, the Aldine editions are famous for the elegance of the character, the correctness of the text, the refinement of the paper and the bindings (Aldine bindings), probably prepared in his own workshop.
"Rhetorica ad Herennium" is considered to be the oldest surviving book of rhetoric in Latin, dating from the late 80s BC. Still used today as a textbook on the structure and ways of learning rhetoric.
