Wonderful Virgin and Child in multicolored and gilded biscuit, Gräfenthal, second half 19th century.

Mary looks at the viewer and holds out the Sacred Heart to Jesus. She additionally tramples the serpent, symbolizing victory over original sin. Jesus holds up one finger, signifying that he is the only way to heaven. Also striking are the large crowns that both wear.

Maria's clothing is richly decorated with floral motifs and gold leaf, which gives the whole a heavenly appearance.

The statue bears the imprinted Gräfenthal mark, used in the second half of the 19th century. It's in good condition.
