ON Christmas Day, Jesus revealed himself to the simple, the pious, the poor,
but on the day of Epiphany He called to Himself the four corners of the world to announce that His Kingdom would be universal,
that the Gentiles themselves would be called to enter into the new and everlasting Covenant.

The adoration of the three kings about the three wise men from the East, who followed a brightly shining star and thus ended up with the newborn Jesus in Bethlehem.
From the appearance of the star, the three magicians, Balthasar, Melchior and Caspar, had deduced that the King of the Jews had finally been born.
They brought gifts for this maternity visit.
Balthasar, "one forty," gave myrrh, Melchior, "the elder with a gray beard," gave gold, and Caspar,
a "black man with a beard" gave frankincense to the young Jesus.
