Laurent Pianelli de la Valette (1644-1718) was a French heraldist.
He was treasurer of France, president of the finance office and one of the first members of the academy of Lyon, whose meetings were held in his office. He collected old manuscripts relating to the provinces of Lyonnais, Beaujolais and Forez, most of which he probably bought from the La Mure heirs. One of his descendants kept them at the Château de Maubec, but he emigrated during the French Revolution and most of the documents went to the town of Auxerre, capital of the department of Yonne, where they were kept under the guard of the Abbé Laire, the city librarian. 67393411
