Antonio Palmieri is a self-taught painter born in 1946 in Naples. With a predilection for urban and sports subjects, Antonio Palmieri is above all a painter of movement. He also displays great mastery in the use of bright colors, thus returning to the primitive aspect of painting: that of spreading color.
With great sensitivity tinged with expressionism, the artist breaks the boundary between painting and the tangible world by offering us a unique sensory experience. On his works, one can feel the eddy of the waves, the shine of the wet cobblestones of New York, the howling wind which flaps the manes of the race horses...
