Caterina Tosoni was born in Milan in 1961. She began her career as an illustrator in 1982 working for important publishing houses such as Garzanti, Mondadori, Rusconi, Fabbri Editori, Peruzzo but also for the Italian Touring Club and the magazine Selezione from Reader's Digest. In the early 2000s, reflection on the industrial landscape, combined with the investigation into the relationship between man and nature, led Tosoni to insert various types of plastic elements on the pictorial surface. Tosoni chose plastic - the undisputed protagonist of the modern industrial production system - not only as symbolic element to lead a very current reflection on global pollution, but also as a compositional element. Plastic is therefore chosen as a compositional material, on a par with the color to be applied or the clay to be modelled. 67737215
