Sonia Delaunay - Composition - lithograph from Revue Xxème Siècle, 1972

Original color lithograph published in Revue Xxème Siècle. One of Sonia Delaunay's later lithographs.

Sonia Delaunay:
She broke down artistic barriers between men and women and pushed the boundaries of art. Orphism co-founder Delaunay-Terk paved artistic ground by softening Cubism with realistic elements and rhythmic colors. She rejected artistic norms and filled her work with brilliant colors and strong, repeating patterns. Delaunay-Terk regarded fashion and homeware as essential works of art and created interior furnishings and clothing, often in collaboration with esteemed designer Coco Chanel. Winner of numerous awards, Delaunay-Terk was the first living female artist to exhibit at the Louvre.
