Signature present
Jean-Baptiste Germain was born on December 28, 1841 in Fismes, France. He studied with the sculptors Auguste Dumont (1801-1884) and Charles-Alphonse Guméry (1827-1871) at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1866 to 1909. Germain died on September 23, 1910.
