Very RARE and uncommon book on the Holy Land!!! "Pictorial Geography of the Holy Land, designed to elucidate the imagery of scripture, and demonstrate the fulfilment of prophecy" written by Rev J T Bannister and published by Binns and Goodwin around 1850. Frontispiece, illuminated title, 5 plates, text illustrations. Original Blue cloth, gilt titling and design to the front board very bright, all edges gilt. Externally spine reattached,wear around spine edges. Inside the contents are shaken- especially in the middle of the book,gutter cracking but all pages holding. There is some foxing of the plates. The text pages are printed within decorative borders, with the borders printed in alternating colours like and illuminateci manuscript. Very beautiful!!! 67548483
