Hand-colored sheet from the approx. 400-title collection with peep-box images from the Augsburg publisher Georg Balthasar Probst. The sheet is somewhat browned due to the paper, some foxing in the image, otherwise in good condition.
Today, peep box sheets by Probst are sought-after views of bygone days that no longer exist today.
Sheets by Probst were far ahead of foreign peep box production, more detailed copper plates with lovingly designed details, as well as the much finer coloring, make them today also visually special delicacies. 67384215
