Superb complete set in two volumes of the famous Précis de Médecine by Lieutaud -

Lieutaud was doctor to the children of Louis XV and then first doctor to Louis XVI.

We owe him an anatomical essay and especially a Precis of practical medicine whose four successive editions, between 1760 and 1776, allow us to discover the richness of the medical thought of the time.

He had a deep interest in the fundamental aspects of medicine and promoted them in his teaching and practice. He also believed that physicians should emphasize observation and practice rather than theory and speculation -
