Folio 2o: (24)332, (2)144, (2)169(11), (3)61 folio. = 1496p. Original beautiful blind-stamped binding with ibbing. Top and bottom once reinforced with leather. With 8 copper corners and 2 locks.
On the inside a handwritten receipt from the publisher H. Sweerts from 1687. The Bible was then sold to Hubertes Beets for 15 guilders. Including an old birth register from that time. On the flyleaf a poem / manuscript from 1891 in Amsterdam as a memento of Mr W.C. Breen. A few leaves in the front have a brown spot.
Complete copy with the so-called 6 fold-out Vroome Maps by Romeyn de Hooghe. The map of the journey of the children of Israel was once "restored" and has brown discolourations / stains. The outer margin is missing a piece. See the photo. Other maps are good. In some places some old moisture rings in the margin. Otherwise a beautiful and free rare edition of this States Bible.
