The cover design was made by the New York artist James Rizzi, whereby all volumes have different motifs in the typical pop art style, inspired by his home metropolis. At Rizzi's, the skyscrapers have smiling faces, the sun is shining & there's lively, merry goings-on everywhere. Illustrated hardcover volumes. Yellow endpapers, the artist's signature on the front. Format approx. 24.5 x 18 cm.
The content of this artists' encyclopedia is identical to the other editions of Brockhaus in 15 volumes (from 1997/1999 including the Bertelsmann licensed edition). Altogether around 7,200 pages, 140,000 keywords, over 15,000 illustrations, graphics & maps.

The lithograph and the books are in very good condition, absolutely new.
